Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and driven Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media strategies that enhance our online presence and engage our audience. This role requires a keen understanding of social media platforms, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyse performance metrics to drive engagement and brand awareness.

Duties

  • Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies across various platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Create engaging content tailored to each platform that reflects the brand’s voice and resonates with the target audience.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, customer feedback, and engagement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media campaigns with overall marketing objectives.
  • Analyse performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage public relations efforts through social media channels to enhance brand reputation and address any issues promptly.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy.

Skills & Experience

  • Social media marketing 1 year (preferred)
  • Social media management – 1 year (preferred)
  • Public relations
  • Communication skills
  • WordPress

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Certificate of higher education

Experience

  • Proven experience in social media management or a related field is essential.
  • Strong understanding of public relations principles and practices is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and generate innovative ideas for content creation.

Pay

  • £15 – £18 an hour

Job type

Shift and schedule

  • Monday to Friday

Expected hours: No more than 16 per week
